Enterprise Development Grant (EDG)
We are pleased to inform you that Edulabs Software is eligible for claiming under the Innovation and Productivity category of the EDG Grant to cover 50% of project cost. It is also further deductible using SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC) for up to a total of 95% of project cost.
Enterprise Development Grant (EDG)
You would be able to apply for the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) to cover 50% of the project cost.
Requirements:
- Business is registered and operating in Singapore
- The Edulabs Software will be used in Singapore
- You have a minimum of 30% local shareholding with group annual sales turnover less than S$100 million, OR less than 200 employees
SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC)
On top of the EDG grant, you can also utilise the SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC) which encourages employers to invest in enterprise transformation and capabilities of their employees.
Eligible employers will receive a one-off S$10,000 credit to cover up to 90% of out-of-pocket expenses on qualifying costs for supportable initiatives, over and above the support levels of existing schemes.
So if you are utilising both EDG and SFEC, it will cover up to 95% of the project cost.
Employers that are qualified previously in Budget 2020 over any of the qualifying periods must meet below conditions:
- Have contributed at least S$750 Skills Development Levy (SDL) over a qualifying period
- Have employed at least 3 Singapore Citizens (SCs) or Permanent Residents (PRs) every month over the same period
New employers that are qualified in Budget 2022 (1st January 2021 - 31st December 2021) over any of the qualifying periods must meet below conditions:
- Have not been previously qualified for SFEC; and
- Have contributed at least S$750 Skills Development Levy (SDL) over a qualifying period
- Have employed at least 3 Singapore Citizens (SCs) or Permanent Residents (PRs) every month over the same period

A quick way to check this is by login to Business Grant Portal via https://www.businessgrants.gov.sg with your Singpass.
Once login, lookout for the blue banner as below snapshot. If you do not see this blue banner, that means your company is not eligible for SFEC.

1. Sign in with Corppass and submit to Business Grant portal (https://www.businessgrants.gov.sg/). A consultant will assist in the submission over a Zoom session. All you need to prepare is last Financial Year’s statements
2. Pay Edulabs 50% of the quotation & invoice to start the project
3. Get letter of offer approval within 1-3 months (an email will be sent to notify you)
4. Project is completed according to the start and end date in the EDG application
5. Project completion report is prepared by Edulabs
6. Pay Edulabs the remaining 50% of the quotation & invoice
7. Appoint an auditor from the pre-approved auditor list (https://www.enterprisesg.gov.sg/-/media/esg/files/financial-assistance/grants/for-local-companies/edg/apply/edg_claims_prequalified_panel_of_auditors.pdf)
8. Submit a claim through Business Grant Portal for 70% reimbursement
Government will proceed to deposit 70% of full invoice in cash to your corporate bank account
All EDG grant applications need to be audited by a pre-approved auditor once the project has been completed. Most auditors charge $500-600 for their services in terms of verifying that the payment is made to the vendor for the project. This is covered in full by the EDG grant for up to $1800.
Yes, our consultant will do the submission over a Zoom screen-sharing session. All you need to prepare are your company's last financial year's statements (you can submit unaudited statements if your company is not required to audit your statements).

Edulabs School Management System was built with tuition and enrichment centres in mind. While Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is typically for companies of 50-250 employee SMEs, smaller SMEs can also benefit from an ERP or Management system.
Our mission at Edulabs is to provide a robust and comprehensive School Management Software for tuition and enrichment centres who have been relying largely on excel sheets and paper documents, as well as clunky and difficult to use software.
While there are existing school management systems available on the market today, most are targeted towards large private/public schools and not education centres with under 500 students per centre. As a software product that was designed and built with Singapore education centres in mind, we sought to address the needs of the education centres we meet with in terms of being agile and quick in implementing new features.
There are larger software companies out there and also bespoke software development firms but we believe that none come close to delivering the value we offer in terms of feature set and pricing due to our deep focus in providing solutions of education centres.
We use a hybrid approach to developing the Edulabs Student Management System. Our goal is to offer 80-100% of what a typical tuition or enrichment centre needs with the added benefit of allowing for customisations that are unique to the education centre such as special payment modes and unique ways in which the lessons are structured and planned.
Ultimately, we seek to provide our clients with the best of both worlds – a ready-made education centre solution with the majority of key features that they need and with the added flexibility of customisation to deliver a cost-effective and tailor-made education software solution.
Besides a one-time project fee to develop and customise the software for your needs, we also do have an ongoing fee for cloud hosting of the software as well as to provide client support via email / Whatsapp / phone calls
All of our software products are 100% web-based, so you just need an internet connection and web browser such as Google Chrome.
Most of our clients first go on a free 30 day trial with us before committing to our software. And we recommend that as well so you can get a feel of what our software can do, and provide your feedback in terms of areas where the software can be improved or customised to better suit your centre’s needs.
From then onwards, there is a one-time setup and license fee as well as a subscription fee of S$300 monthly for unlimited students, parents and teachers.
Additional centres can be added on at a preferential rate as well.
Yes, there is the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) that helps to subsidise up to 80% project costs. The balance after EDG can be further defrayed using SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC), so the entire project could be almost free! (just 3% out-of-pocket cost)
